Your life is yours, not theirs. Your opinion of yourself, should also be yours, and not theirs. Sometimes, people can be so cruel and heartless. It can be hard to not be affected by it. Sometimes, it can be overwhelming. It can seem like the whole world is against us. In those times, it is crucial to remember that this is our life to live. No one but us can dictate how we should feel about things or even ourselves. Our opinion of ourselves only belongs to us, and no one else. No one can step into your shoes and live your life for you. By the same token, no one can tell you how you should feel. Be kind to yourself, be loving and compassionate. You are the one who is living with you. Work to make the relationship you have with yourself the best you can make it. It takes conscious, active effort, but it's worth it. You're worth it.
